The Fusion Stroll Competition is an opportunity to educate the campus community on the history of strolling, stepping, and saluting as an art form unique to African American and Latina/o cultures.

This competition consists of three rounds: an individual stroll or salute, a fusion stroll, and a showdown stroll from the organizations with the top three point totals. There will be a winner in each round.

What is Fusion Stroll?

It’s a cross-chapter stroll competition co-sponsored by the Bruce D. Nesbitt African American Cultural Center, Fraternity & Sorority Affairs, and La Casa Cultural Latina. This event is an educational program aimed at providing members in fraternities and sororities who do not traditionally step, stroll or salute, the opportunity to learn about these historic aspects to cultural fraternal organizations. Moreover, it’s a great opportunity to meet members from chapters thus strengthening the bonds of interfraternal relations.
