Indigenous Scholars Orientation (ISO) Registration

ABOUT ISO

ISO is a FREE two-and-a-half-day early move-in program administered by the Native American House. ISO is open to self-identifying Native American, Alaska Native, First Nations, and Indigenous students new to the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. The aims of ISO include establishing early relationships with Indigenous scholars who are first-year or transfer students, introducing participants to campus resources and services, and organizing orientation activities that center on Indigenous academic identity development. To enrich ISO, an Elder-in-Residence will serve as a surrogate grandparent by offering mentorship, direction, and encouragement to participating Indigenous scholars. Those accompanying you are invited to experience ISO along with you!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Director of the Native American House, Dr. Charlotte E. Davidson (Diné/Mandan, Hidatsa & Arikara Nation) at drchar@illinois.edu.
