Readying Illinois Students for Excellence (RISE)
Readying Illinois Students for Excellence (RISE) is a FREE program for select first-year students, so that they may register for Fall 2016 courses, gain leadership skills, and locate valuable resources about where to go for help, advice, and fun at Illinois. But don't take our word for it.
RISE participants will also:
- Learn how to talk with your faculty both in and out of the classroom.
- Gain skills to balance academics, extra-curricular involvement and friendships while on campus.
- Meet student leaders and other new students at Illinois.
- Parents will learn how to assist you in the transition and hear about various campus resources
RISE will be held at the University of Illinois campus on Friday thru Sunday June 3-5 and Monday thru Wednesday June 6-8, 2016. RISE is a collaboration between the Office of the Dean of Students - New Student Programs, Office of Inclusion and Intercultural Relations, and Office of the Provost.
Register for RISE 2016 on myIllini when you register for your Summer Registration date! Additional questions? Contact Lizette Dorantes-Rebolledo at firstname.lastname@example.org or 217-333-4057
