Readying Illinois Students for Excellence (RISE)
Readying Illinois Students for Excellence (RISE) is a FREE program for select first-year students, so that they may gain leadership skills, and locate valuable resources about where to go for help, advice, and fun at Illinois.

RISE participants will:
- Learn how to talk with your faculty both in and out of the classroom.
- Gain skills to balance academics, extra-curricular involvement and friendships while on campus.
- Meet student leaders and other new students at Illinois.
- Parents will learn how to assist you in the transition and hear about various campus resources
RISE will be held at the University of Illinois campus on Saturday thru Monday June 3-5 and Monday thru Wednesday June 19-21, 2017. Both sessions of RISE are currently closed. RISE is a collaboration between the Office of the Dean of Students - New Student Programs, Office of Inclusion and Intercultural Relations, and Office of the Provost.
