Facilitating Intergroup Dialogue Processes (3 credits)
PSYC 496 IDP is designed to give students a general overview of the skills and knowledge needed to facilitate culturally diverse group interactions. The course is open to sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students, and is offered in both the fall and spring semesters. Students will explore the impact of gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic class, disability and physical appearance on group dynamics.
Following the course, students have an opportunity to apply to become EPSY 203 student dialogue facilitators through PSYC 340/341 IDP and/or IJourney Workshop Facilitators through PSYC 340/341 SJE.
