The Black Congratulatory Ceremony is an annual event held to honor the African American graduates on the Illinois campus. The BNAACC recognizes those students of African descent who have graduated from the U of I with a bachelor, masters, Ph.D. or professional degree in a ceremony reflecting the African American tradition.
The 2019 Black Congratulatory Ceremony will be Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 7:00 pm in 100 George Huff Hall, 1206 South Fourth Street, Champaign. The doors open at 6:00 pm and academic attire is required for participants. This is a non-ticketed ceremony. No tickets are needed to attend as a guest.
The registration for Black Congratulatory concluded on April 11th. We have extended a limited version of the registration that DOES NOT INCLUDE THE KENTE STOLE until April 24th at 5pm.
