LGBT Resource Center
Who We Are
The mission of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) Resource Center at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is to foster an environment that is open, safe, and inclusive for people of all sexualities and gender identities. The Center is a resource not only for the LGBT community but for the entire University of Illinois community. The LGBT Resource Center seeks to help in the efforts to address homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, and heterosexist attitudes and beliefs on the campus, and to work to make the environment safe and affirming for all students, faculty, staff, and LGBT students, faculty, and staff at the University of Illinois in particular. Learn more about us.
In order to prioritize the health and safety of our students, staff, faculty, and community members, the Office of Inclusion and Intercultural Relations (OIIR) has decided to continue its programs and services- including the LGBT Resource Center- in a fully virtual capacity. Physical spaces will be closed, with the exception of walk-in appointments for sexual misconduct survivor services at the Women's Resources Center.
As sad as this news may be, we are not going anywhere. The LGBT Resource Center and other cultural and resource centers are diligently working to find new ways to keep our communities connected and safe during these times. Our staff is working remotely and will be checking emails and messages during our normal business hours.
The LGBT Resource Center is located in room 323 of the Illini Union, 1401 W. Green St.
